Meet the RMK Team

As a construction consultant, Buddy Wright has worked with M&R Development on over 4,000 new apartment units as well as the on the renovation of more than 2,000 apartments for sister company, RMK Restoration. Mr. Wright brings the benefit of 46 years of experience in housing construction, land development, contracts and purchasing to the M&R Development team. Mr. Wright spent a significant part of his career with Lexington Homes, the largest home builder in the Midwest, where he served over time as that company’s production manager, director of customer service and purchasing manager. Mr. Wright was also formerly a partner in New Horizon Construction Management Company as well as a project manager for Ryland Homes. In addition, Mr. Wright served as a construction consultant to AMLI Residential Properties Trust in the development of AMLI at Fox Valley and AMLI at Oakhurst North.

Anthony R. Rossi, Jr. is the Executive Vice President of M&R Development. Mr. Rossi is responsible for overseeing all facets of development including: the selection of sites, site planning, the entitlement process, financing and construction. Mr. Rossi joined Moran and Company in 1991 and has been involved with the brokerage division of Moran and Company, the management division of RMK Management, the rehab division of RMK Restoration, and the development division of M&R Development. RMK currently manages over 8,000 apartment homes, of which approximately 60% of the inventory is fee-managed. Through RMK Restoration he has overseen the rehab and upgrades of over 5,000 apartment homes and the additional demolition and subsequent construction of four new clubhouses. Through M&R Development he has been involved in the construction of over 5,039 new apartment homes including the most recent projects 42 Hundred on the Lake in St. Francis, Wisconsin, Elevate Apartments in Madison Wisconsin, 2929 on Mayfair in Wauwatosa Wisconsin, The Residences at Addison & Clark in Chicago, Regency Place in Oakbrook Terrace, The Residences at the Grove in Downers Grove, Parc Huron in Chicago, and 73 E. Lake in Chicago. Mr. Rossi, received a B.S. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and is a Licensed Managing Broker in Illinois and Minnesota. Mr. Rossi is also an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM).

Mike received a bachelor of arts from the University of Michigan in 1989 with a concentration in economics and history, and an MBA in finance from DePaul University in 1992. He previously worked for The RREEF Funds, Sares Regis Group, Catellus and Freddie Mac. He has been with M&R Development since 2010. Mike is the Senior Vice President of Finance for M&R Development.

In his role as Senior Vice President - Development and Construction, Gary Thalheimer oversees and coordinates all aspects of the design and construction process for M&R Development's new and renovation projects. Over a career spanning more than 40 years, Gary has served as design architect, developer and general contractor. Although successfully completing a wide variety of projects exceeding more than $6 billion in value, Gary has developed an expertise in multi-family housing having developed and constructed well over 13,000 units ranging from low-rise affordable housing to luxury high-rise condominiums. Gary's previous work experience includes Executive Vice President with Tishman Construction Corporation, Vice President with Walsh Construction and Development Management positions with Hawthorn Realty and Walden Investment Corporation. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Science and a Master of Architecture from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Anthony R. Rossi received a B.S from Loyola University in 1963 and a law degree from DePaul University in 1969. Between 1963 and 1973, he worked for Arthur Andersen in Chicago where he served in the tax group specializing in real estate. In 1973, Mr. Rossi left Arthur Andersen to join Moran & Company. Moran & Company has several affiliated companies, RMK Management and M&R Development. Mr. Rossi is the Chairman of the Board of RMK. RMK manages about 8,000 luxury rental apartments predominately in the Chicagoland area. Mr. Rossi is also the Managing Partner of M&R Development LLC. M&R and its predecessor company have developed approximately 4,000 rental apartments in Chicago and its suburbs. Anthony R. Rossi received his C.P.A. from the State of Illinois in 1963 and passed the Illinois Bar in 1969. He is a member of the Illinois Bar Association and the American and Illinois Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a licensed broker in Illinois, Colorado, Minnesota, and Florida. He has also served as President of the Chicagoland Apartment Association.

Anthony R. Rossi, Jr. was named the President of RMK Management Corporation in 2015. Beginning in 1991 and continuing through 1998, he was employed on the brokerage side by Moran and Company. In 1998, his focus shifted to RMK Management and M&R; Development. Since then he has overseen the rehab over of 5,000 units, the demolition and construction of four new clubhouses and the construction of 3,755 luxury apartment homes. Recently completed projects include Parc Huron, Central Station and 73 East Lake. New projects include The Residences at Wilmette, The Residences at Hamilton Lakes in Itasca and Addison & Clark in Chicago. Additionally, he is President of RMK Restoration which rehabs apartment communities both for internally owned deals and outside firms. Mr. Rossi, received a B.S. from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and is a Licensed Broker in both Illinois and Minnesota. Mr. Rossi is also an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) and is the Managing Broker for RMK Management Corporation.

Thomas P. Kearney received a B.S. in Accounting in 1967 and a Masters of Accounting Science in 1969 from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana. He received a Masters of Taxation in 1974 from DePaul University in Chicago. Mr. Kearney received his C.P.A. from the State of Illinois in 1969 and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Kearney is the Senior Vice President and Treasurer of RMK Management Corporation.

Diana Pittro has been in the industry for over 20 years. She began her career in a regional sales and marketing position with Robert Sheridan & Partners doing rehab and condominium conversions on the East Coast. Next, Diana spent nine years with Draper & Kramer, Inc., as a Vice President for a multi-state and multi-site region of 3,000-5,000 units dealing in third party management and was in charge of renovated and new construction properties. She then moved on to a Vice President position at The Habitat Company, where for over five years she supervised high-rise buildings in the Chicago area, including Presidential Towers, which is a 2,400-unit luxury high-rise apartment community which includes commercial, retail, and office space of over 400,000 square feet. Diana received her B.A. from Cal State and has received her designation for Accredited Resident Manager. She also has her Illinois Real Estate Brokers License. Diana has served on the Executive Committee and as a Board Member for the Chicagoland Apartment Association. She was also President for five years. Diana is currently the Region III Vice President and on the Board of Directors for the National Apartment Association. She is currently serving a two year term as President of the National Apartment Association Education Institute. Diana is also an advisory board member for Rasmussen Colleges. Diana was honored by receiving the Property Supervisor of the Year award from the Illinois/Chicago Apartment Association. She was awarded the Chicagoland Apartment Association Supervisor of the Year award in 2001. Diana currently oversees all management, marketing and operations as well as capital programs for the RMK Management Corporation portfolio, which includes 6,500+ units, in the Midwest for both third party investors and self-owned and managed properties. She is responsible for day-to-day operations of RMK and has been actively engaged in all due diligence projects for the company and its owners. Diana has been with RMK Management Corporation since 2002.

Andrea Alexander is our Chief Financial Officer whom oversees the Accounting, Information Technology, and Human Resource departments, leveraging over two decades of experience in the real estate sector. Andrea’s career has spanned various pivotal roles, including Office Manager at a brokerage, Finance Director at a real estate development company involved in projects in both Chicago and Romania, and Controller at a Property Management & Development company. Andrea is also a licensed real estate Broker in Illinois and earned a B.S. in Accounting from Roosevelt University after attending University of Illinois at Chicago for Biology.

Gary Lundemo is currently a Vice President for RMK Management Corporation. Prior to joining RMK, he was Vice President of Property Management for The Habitat Company where he oversaw a portfolio of market rate properties totaling over 3,876 units. Gary worked closely with third-party owners to ensure the operating and financial goals for the asset are achieved. With more than 36 years of experience as a Certified Property Manager in Atlanta, Charlotte and Chicago, Gary managed a variety of large multifamily and mixed-use high-rise developments, including rehabilitations and new construction. Prior to joining The Habitat Company in 1992, Gary worked for Current Development Corporation as project coordinator for a 730 unit rehabilitation rental community in Crest Hill, Illinois. Gary is a recent past president of the Chicagoland Apartment Association and he continues to serve as an advisory member. He holds the CPM© designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a licensed managing broker. He has also won numerous awards from the Chicagoland Apartment Association, including Building Manager of the Year.

Deanna Johnson is currently a Regional Manager for RMK Management Corporation. Deanna joined RMK in 1993 as a Leasing Consultant for RMK’s largest community, Versailles on the Lakes. She currently oversees a portfolio of seven communities throughout the western and northern suburbs and has recently opened two new construction sites that are currently in lease up. Deanna currently holds an Illinois Managing Broker’s License and holds an Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management. Deanna received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Western Washington University.

Debra Roeder has more than 35 years of property management experience. She joined RMK Management in 1989 where she has been working in various roles over the past 30 years. She has a diverse background in residential market rate, affordable housing, commercial and condominium management. She has managed new construction, renovation, conversion, distressed, mixed use and high end luxury communities. Debra has successfully managed city and suburban garden style, mid-rise and hi-rise properties. She currently oversees seven properties for self-owned and third party investors. Debra oversees the management, marketing and operations of her portfolio which includes overseeing capital improvement and renovation projects. She is on the due diligence team for new projects and has served on several special projects over the years. Debra currently holds an Illinois Broker’s License, is a Certified Property Manager candidate with the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a Certified Occupancy Specialist with the National Housing Center for Housing Management.

Iris joined RMK Management in 2008 following a successful career in hospitality management. She is currently a Regional Manager for RMK Management, Development Manager for M&R Development and a Renovation Manager for RMK Restoration. She wears many hats within her roles and is recognized for her high ethical standards, model efficiency and can-do attitude. After achieving success with her inaugural property, The Durham Edina, where she turned a low-occupancy building into a top performer within the company’s portfolio, she was given the opportunity to oversee a multi-million dollar common area renovation project. Following the success of the common area renovation, she accepted the role of Development Associate with M&R Development and Marketing Coordinator with RMK Management, for which she relocated to Illinois in 2016. Iris has played an integral role in the development of M&R’s most recent projects that include The Residences at Hamilton Lakes, The Residences of Wilmette, The Residences at Addison & Clark, 42 Hundred on the Lake, Elevate Apartments and our newest development, 2929 on Mayfair in Wauwatosa, WI. In addition to providing input on the market, finish selections, and building design, she coordinates all marketing and pre-leasing efforts. Iris obtained her Illinois Broker’s License in 2018 and is currently pursuing her Minnesota Broker’s License.

Brian joined RMK in 2006 and is one of our success stories being promoted through the ranks from Leasing Agent to his current position of Regional Manager. In his RMK career, he has successfully managed both suburban garden style apartments as well as city communities. Prior to joining RMK, Brian had a very diverse background that included being a corporate trainer for 3Com Corporation, a Restaurant Manager and a Nightclub Singer in Aruba. He utilized his training background in helping to develop the training program currently used for all of RMK’s new employees. Brian holds an Illinois Real Estate Broker’s License as well as an MA in English Education and an MBA from Nichols College. He is presently overseeing a portfolio of seven communities which totals 1217 units in the City of Chicago.

Peter Davis is currently a Regional Property Manager for RMK Management Corporation. Peter’s career with RMK began in 2006 as a Leasing Consultant. Over the course of his growth with RMK, Peter has taken on roles as Assistant Property Manager, Property Manager, and most recently in 2021 Regional Property with a focus on new development communities. He currently oversees a portfolio of properties in Illinois and Indiana. Peter currently holds an Illinois Broker’s License as well as a Certified Apartment Manager certification. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Minnesota.

Kristin Pittro has over 20 years of experience at RMK Management, holding various positions from Residential Leasing Consultant to her current role as Regional Property Manager. Kristin currently oversees a portfolio of properties in Illinois and Wisconsin. In her previous role as Property Manager for eight years, she excelled in strategic planning, problem-solving, and fostering community engagement. Kristin is also a licensed Illinois Managing Broker and Certified Apartment Manager, recognized for her operational expertise and commitment to team development. She holds two CAMME awards, serves as an Ambassador for both CAA and NAA, and holds a master's degree in psychology from Phoenix University and a Bachelor of Science degree from North Central College. Additionally, Kristin holds the roles of Leasing Training Director and Event Coordinator for RMK.

Linda Rossi, currently serves as Regional Marketing Manager for RMK Management Corporation where she is responsible for growing the RMK Management brand and promoting its communities through digital marketing, social media, reputation management and other marketing channels. She has been associated with RMK Management Corporation since 1989. Her multi-family career began in leasing and progressed to different positions in management and training. As Regional Manager her portfolio included communities ranging from residential market-rate, new construction, rehab, garden, midrise and high-end luxury apartment residences. She has worked for both RMK managed communities and third-party investors to help them achieve their investment financial goals. While serving as the Training Director she used her strengths in leadership, customer service and team building to coordinate training initiatives from employee onboarding to ongoing education. Ms. Rossi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing from Bradley University. She holds the CPM© designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management and is a licensed Managing Broker in the State of Illinois.
